Zoom is a system-wide profiler for Linux, commercial software. The setup is painless and immediately worked on my 32-bit x86 Ubuntu 10.10 system. Handling is super-easy (compared to oprofile) and the source/assembly view is helpful.

Strong points:

Shows clocks per instruction in assembler view
• Shows pipeline stalls in assembler view
• Visually points to hot-spots in the code

Not sure how accurate these are...
