System and method for tracing Tardos fingerprinting codes was awarded July 5, 2011 (filed August 14, 2007).
It may attempt to patent the symmetric weights for the score function 
Symmetric Tardos fingerprinting codes for arbitrary alphabet sizes was published February 9, 2007.
