Before and after attending Pacific-Rim Symposium on Image and Video Technology (PSIVT), some travelling is in place: To Nikko, Kyoto, and Himeji. Accomodation: Taito Ryokan in Asakusa/Tokyo, Turtle Inn in Nikko, Kyo-No-En (Kyoto Guest House)
Unfortunately, the Japan Rail Pass got really expensive!

Angi brought something from Japan, an Aritsugu knife! The deba-style knife is single-sided and for filleting fish mainly.
